I've been there many times before, and it sucks. Just make sure you check her on everything she does wrong, but in a professional manner. Definitely make sure you are beyond reproach during that time, and I bet she hangs herself before long. The key is to maintain yourself personally so you don't go down with her. People like that always end up hanging themselves, sometimes just not as quickly as you'd like. Why else do you think she was available for the job? LOL
Hang tough.
Cheers!

We are open 7 days a week & I run the co. by myself. So I hire 1 person to workfull time from March to September (moving season). Once things slow down in Sept. they can work part time if they have been doin goodjust so Iget time off. We look for college students because the schedules work out great for both parties. My sister-in-law was working for me during the slow season just to make some $ while she goes to school. She had to quit becauseshe would not be able to work the hours that were needed. (school + 1yr old + work = too much stress on the family)
Ialways act calm and professionaleven when she gets an attitudetrying to make a problem out of nothing in front of customers. (she does this only in front of customers) So I have a nice relaxed way of defusing the situation so she looks like an idiot.

I find the best way to fire someone is not to tell them until after lunch then call security or the cops to escort her out after lunch because your afriad what she would do to the rest of the office. She will be balling so hard you won't stop laughing for days.
