I was a skier up drom about 3 to 12 and I've been snowboarding since. When I was younger I had more of a 'skiers suck' attitude but now I appreciate what some of these guys can do on skis these days and have no problems giving props to anyone who throws down in the park. I do disagree that skis are better for powder; snowboarding on powder is like surfing a big cloud there's not a better feeling. I'd say though if haven't done either try both and see what you enjoy most. Colorado FTMFW!

 

I'm going to be the dissenter and say they both suck equally because snow is involved. So while you goons are out falling down the mountain freezing your butts off, I'll be in the lodge enjoying a nice hot cocoa.

Insanely, we only have about 400' vertical here in Ohio. I want real snow and some real runs

 

I love snowboarding. It's such a "me against nature" experience. I don't get any sticks or free leg movement. It's just me locked into a board, haulin it down a 2,300foot mountain!!

I've been snowboarding for about 3 years but recently left my board in Denver so I can use it when I go out there during spring break. I recently just bought some skis because I didn't have anything to ride back here in OH. Haven't tried it yet but i'm pretty stoked. I figure, anything you can ride in snow is siiiiiick (snowboard, skis, MY AUDI!)!!!!

 

i just started snowboarding this year and although i can hardly walk at the moment from my recent trip up yesterday, im still having a lot of fun up on the mountain.
