Default SLOW FORUMS

Anybody else get frustrated with audiforums? It seems like every hour or so it gets sooo slow.. I can't view posts... I can't refresh threads... It's like it shuts right the hell down. Happens a lot... and it drives me nuts! I wonder who hosts this site.

Anybody else experience this? You must... because it is just AF... I can try other sites and they load up in a flash, while AF is useless. Meh. New host me thinks!

no of all the message boards I am on. Audiforums, is definatly the slowest by a long shot.

Alot of it has todo with the way the server is pulling content for ads.

I have a few programs in firefox that let me moniter these things.

If you want to speed it up, install firefox, go into about:config and change mutli piping to on, and crank up concurrent requests to 30.

Also download and exstention called Adblock, and block adds/pics you dont need

Every image on the page basically is blocked for me, including big signatures and random filler images. Helps alot (not to mention the ads)

Yeah I have firefox already... it's all I use, accept for www.goapr.com doesn't seem to work well with mozilla.

But yeah, these forums are ALWAYS slow... but sometimes they are innaccessible... like pages DO NOT load... "operation timed out" or something... like I will click a thread (I always open threads in their own tabs) and they just won't ever load. I will try and try again... but it is just useless... then I wait like 15 minutes, and they load right up.

The hosting must suck.

Its strange, because I have never had a problem with these forums being slow. I run firefox too, I don't have any images blocked or anything. I guess its possible that the server is close to me? Not sure if that would make a difference.

You also have 44 posts...

Just wait... spend some time here, and you will see! It is impossible that it is just me... because it is JUST the audiforums. I do bandwidth tests at the time of the slowness, and I'm fast... like 4000kb/s fast.

I've noticed it more and more lately. Pages won't load or will time out. It's coo with me though because I like the forum.
