Not bad for the price.
17's are not too small for B5's in my opinion. They look just about right; also since most people consider 19's to be too big for the B5's. Also 17's would be able to give you thicker tires which will you give you a bit better ride quality.
I think kolbs has 17's for his spring/summer set. You can check out his pictures if you want to see how 17's with a drop look like.

But also it depends on how much drop you want to do for your car, you might have to stretch the tires so it won't rub.
