i love the M5... good solid car.

i ahve to say i love teh M5 and that thing is amazing. I have never driven but i have riden in one. M5 is a step up from a S4 but i might go with the RS6. I have to agree that is teh best in that marekt segment. But i hate to tell u the lightning isnt the top any more its the dodge Ram SRT-10 its has 500 HP and can do doughnut and burnouts all day longer. I think 0-60 is less than 5.

 

A surprizing number of people have said that to me, but the truth is, I'm tired of fighting AWD to fit my driving style. I'll admit it, I like throttle steer, I like it a lot. From what I've heard, the RS6 has had some changes made to the F/R bias of the AWD, but the M5 was here now, so I went with it. (plus my buddy is giving me his M5 short shifter and DINAN catback, so that's like $5000 that I won't have to spend later)

The SRT-10 is great on paper. In the real world, it's a joke. Sure it has 4mph more on the top end, but how often do you use that? I've hit top speed in my truck twice, and both times were at decomissioned airbases. I have yet to be beaten by one on the street or track, and I can barely get them to race me to begin with (they're skurred). I also like to turn and the Dodge doesn't do that. I have driven three SRT-10s, and they are straight line muscle cars. You might as well buy a '70 Super Bee.The Lightning is a full package, engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, interior, all upgraded to make it unique. The SRT-10 just has a huge engine slapped in the nose, and a huge price slapped on the window.

Sorry, I get a little heated since I've driven both back to back, and somehow people still think that joke of a Dodge is worth talking about.
