Default RWD cars with LImited Slips

I was watching a episode of top gear a few weeks ago (it was an older one) and JC said that the perfect car platform is RWD with a limited slip in the car. I couldnt think of many cars that are set up like that. Could u guys help me out?

umm the cobra had a solid axle until very recently (i wnat to say 2004), im positive teh 2000 model had it,

I should ahve posted that i had come up with porsche, BMW and mercs, but i didnt think all teh chevies had them. I thought the camaro was also solid rear.

Im sry but i have to point out that even the newest Mustang (otehr than the cobra and roush, slaeen etc...) have a solid rear axle.

I also didnt even think about all teh ferrari's, lambos, maseratis, etc...

RWD means "REAR WHEEL DRIVE", it has nothing to do with whether it's a solid axle or not. Limited Slip Differentials also don't care what type of axle they're put in, it's all in the differential.

So every car I listed is rear wheel drive, with a standard or at the very least, available LSD.

Why on earth would you think that having a solid rear axle precludes a car from the RWD with LSD classification?

I've seen Ford F-150 work trucks with LSD in the rear at work.

most RWD cars are limited slip, and when the posi burns out it becomes limited slip unless you have a locker.. and let me tell you when you have a posi with a locker its not a fun ride in the rain or in the snow... my camaro dynoed at 308hp at the wheels and i had a dana posi rear with a detroit locker, i would have to leave my car at the bottom of my hill if i got cought in a rain storm it sucked...

on the other hand, i love burnouts, i mean there is nother better then smoking the tires as you pass some honda civic sidways down a road while they are winding out their little 4 bangers, my a4 my handle alot better then my camaro did but its a toss up as to which one was more fun.. the camaro pulled just about the same all the way till the rev limiter at 6200 rpm 155 mph in 4th (super T-10 4 speed manual custom fit ) i miss that car, but i must say im rather happy with my A4 just need to make her a bit more faster...
