Default Ross-tech is teh suck.

Damnit all to hell. So I've got a genuine ross-tech cable, Hex USB + can... and I went out to scan my car today, and the software is all like "eat **** loser, update your ross-tech by calling us" or something along those lines.
Course, they're only open monday to friday... so I can ONLY scan the engine -- no other modules.
I can understand why they are getting so ****, with all the ebay cables out there... but seriously, the registration is supposed to be built into the dongle thing... so why the **** am I waiting until tomorrow to get this sorted out? Such a **** off.

Funny that they sell Bentley CD's too -- a company just as bad for this crap. I remember last year, we'd formatted our computer and one Saturday my dad was working on his A4... he goes to the computer to consult the bentley, and obviously, it wasn't installed. He tried installing it, but couldn't... have to call bently to get some stupid code. Course, only open mon-fri, so he was out of luck. Good thing nobody works on their cars on the weekend! [:@]

ah crap... i just got my ross-tech yesterday and i was gonna scan my car today and see what codes im throwing thats causing limp mode[:@]

This must only be on new cables, I have the hex+can usb cable and don't have an issue. The only thing i can think of is if you did a firmware update that didnt take properly and now it's borked. I've gotten email responses from them on the weekend and off hours. They also have a forum on AW for support. Just for future reference.

I'll uninstall and reinstall the software, and see what happens.
