great [&o]

I dont get it...

how can it take off the planes not actually moving? it would be standing still right?

btw - im not debating it.. just want to be informed...
knowing is half the battle !
the plane is moving. the thrust from the engine causes it to move forward. the conveyor belt on the bottom is moving in the opposite direction but has no effect on where the plane is going because the wheels are essentially just a wheel on an axle. the plane doesnt deliver power to the wheels for take off so the conveyor belt wont actually be doing anything but makin the wheels spin twice as fast

In *my* scenairo the planes tires aren't rated for THAT speed, so they BURST, causing the landing gear to fail, which then colapses and teh plane erupts in a BIG BALL OF JP4, ALUMINUM SHARDS, BODY PARTS, AND LUGGAGE! Im a fatalist, BTW.

Yep, THats what I was thinking. my tires are rated for 180mph and we take off at 150 on heavy flights.

The airplane WOULD take off. The propulsion of the jet engines emits a force against the air. The plane's wheels are not powered. They would just be spinning a lot faster than normal when the plane hits its take-off speed.
