i dont feel like looking through 17 pages so idk if this has been said before in this thread...but here it goes. You have a 5 gallon jug, a 3 gallon jug and an unlimated amount of water. How do you measure out exactly 4 gallons? (any diehard fans out there?)

 

What goes up, but at the same time goes down, up to the sky and down to the ground, my present tense and my past tense too, lets go for a ride just me and you...what am i?

 

I knew this one even before the movie came out...

fill the 5 gal jug with water
fill teh 3 gal jug from the 5 gall jug
leaving you 2 gals in the 5 gal jug
empty teh 3 gal jug
pour the remaining 2 gals from the 5 into the 3
giving you 2 in the 3 and 0 in the 5
re-fill the 5 with water
top off the 3 from the 5
giving you 3 in the 3 and 4 in the 5

Now I'm thirsty, for some reason[8D]

I first though something to do with a tree, grows up and into the ground. But I couldn't figure out how you ride a tree, lol.

 

No awd,, there was no googling involved.. Wouldnt cheat you with that. But i did want to google the stairs one.. it seems liek it should have to do somethign with an escalator. but couldnt come up with it.

 

For the stairs one. Could it be a banister or the steps themselves. If your standing at the bottom the look at the stairs the steps go up. Same with looking at it from the top.
