Cool well i should have all my stuff by friday and get it done... I cant wait. Ive never had a sub and amp before.. In case you couldnt tell by skimming through this excessive long *** thread. Its cool because after this thread i officially know a little bit about everything.
You should read this post on convertors before you start.

Thanks man you really save my day..

So if I don't feel like running wire from the HU all the way back to the trunk, i can tap the wires before they enter the rear amp on the back left speaker, "effectively the same as tapping them behind the HU. "

Sounds like key advice right there if i must use the converter.

But now im thinkin again i should just hook up some rca's on the head unit.. I want to do it right, some say i wont notice a difference, some say its a huge difference... Which is it?

I just thought of something... If im playing a cd in the cd changer in the trunk, where the sub is, will it skip because of the bass?? Anyone experience that?

Highly doubt it. Unless you mount the sub to the cdchanger.

you wont have that problem with your sub, most speakers wont cause a cd changer to skip, but it can happen with some serious speakers and amps..

cool well i decided to splice some female rca's into the rr and rl lines/common ground out the back of the head unit. I wonder how much the dealer will charge for the rdio keys to get the HU out. I really dont feel like ordering them.

not with that xplod amp j/k ... but no man.. it definately shouldnt make it skip.. changers are much less likely to skip than regular decks anyway.. or so it seems.
