Count me in as well. When it come to Counter Strike, I play 1.6 and Condition Zero. I need to pick up Source though.

I have the Razer...

nice response / but I agree - some of the button placement needs getting used to -
accidentally throwing a FRAG grenade when youre tring to reload ur .40 cal is no good..

If u can find the Razer cheap, Id go w/ it...
cant go wrong w/ the logitech either...

Bestbuy has them on their Demo game PC's - so u can try different ones out....

if i go with a 2000dpi mouse vs 1600, is that price and the extra 400 dpi worth the difference?

No 1600 dpi is high already so you won't be able to notice any difference if you go 2000. But I assume your talking about the G5 vs. the MX518 where the biggest difference is that the G5 is a laser mouse compared to the MX518 which is optical. Laser tracking is fairly new and some find that the laser won't work on as many surfaces as optical. It would be best to get a mouse pad, and better yet a mouse pad made for laser mice.

It really boils down to personal preference with mice. People like the G5 because it comes with weights which can be used to make the mouse heavier/lighter which ever you prefer. They've also come out with a new G5 which looks very nice and brings back the two thumb buttons instead of just one. Go to www.gotfrag.com and go to the hardware section then reviews. The staff there always post really good reviews on pretty much all the main gaming mice out there so check it out.

(ps. I also use an MX518 but im constantly changing between it and an older MS 3.0 optical mice I own just betcause im crazy like that)
