RE: RANT-Is this how is should be? I mean really....
I want to clear up a couple things--My issues are with me "not being able to drive the car"
The guy was well spoken, seemed fairly nice. (I am in no way bad mouthing him) My only issue was NOT BEING ABLE TO TEST DRIVE!!!
I would have to see like a 3-4 G increase if someone expected me to BUY something and not drive it.

What a joke Spiel.. Sorry to hear about that.
I would never pay actual hard earned money for a car, if I can't test drive it. Thats insane.
Buying a car isn't a small financial move, you need to have full trust in what you're purchasing and without being allowed to drive that I don't think its very possible[&:]

+1. The only exception I can think of happened to me today. I sold my 300Z today, and the guy came and got it. He bought it even though the engine and transmission are out of the car. Reason - first off, I way underpriced it to move it (it's been keeping me from using my garage for the last four years, and what I charged him was about 30% of the value of the mods on the car, to say nothing of the car itself). Second, he's known me for the best part of ten years, and has driven the car in the past. He was around for the evolution of the car, knew I did all my own work and that I was very capable with that car, and knew also that I didn't beat on it. I have full records on it, many extra parts, service manual, etc, and I have also volunteered to help him out if he gets stuck in the reassembly. Bottom line - he knew me, and knew the car, and being accomplished as a mechanic himself, is confident that between his own knowledge of cars and my particular knowledge of the 300ZX, it'll be back on the road again this spring.
Other than that, I can't see buying without driving first.
