Random Picture of The Day

RE: Random Picture of The Day
No kidding?!?! I lived there when I was a little kid, from '79-82 (pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade) - my dad was a VP at North Country Community College before accepting another position down in Florida (which is where I went before Binghamton). I went to St Bernard's right there in town across from Lake Flower. I even am still in touch with two of my best friends from that time. Hell, we moved to Binghamton when my dad took the presidency of Broome Community College here in Binghamton, and when he retired four years ago, the guy that took over was our neighbor in Saranac Lake. He lived three doors down from us, and his son was a friend of mine.
Oh, and you're not kidding about the cold and snow - I remember 4 feet on the ground and -20 or colder from October to May. Small world huh? When were you there?

Yep, I learned to ski at Pisgah - I was only a few minutes from there (although I can't remember my street name, even though I remember my phone number lol - 891-3603). It is a cool place though, and if you haven't been there in quite awhile, you won't believe how much it's grown. I miss Alice's Diner at the 3-way intersection in the middle of downtown, the Red Fox restaurant, and the Casa del Sol mexican restaurant - three of my favorite places up there.

I heard that they had a fire and were reopened. The GF and I are going up there in the spring for a weekend just for the hell of it, and we're definitely going to go there.
