ORIGINAL: lauren5757

well you never know....

i have real question though for you guys, since right now it only seems that the few of you that actually know your stuff is on

here's the deal, my parents got a second car for my younger brother and sister to share, it's a 2003 passat... but anways, it's that really pretty but dark blue color and came from texas
the front looks like it was in a little bit of a wind storm or something, the clear coat has lots of little scratches and chips on it and some go through the paint, so when it's nice and clean you can really see the marks on it
to get it repainted is like 1200 dollars

do they make a tinted wax? that seems like that would help cover it if they make it, but i figured i'd ask all of you geniuses before i searched for it
.
You should take it to a body shop - See if they can put some compound on it with a high speed buffer. It will thin out the clearcoat, though.
.
By the way, like I asked before... HOW DOES A SEWING MACHINE WORK?

hey thanks, we took it to a place and they just said it would have to be repainted... but i just wanted to see if there was anything else that could be done, so i'll suggest it to my parents, cuz it's their car technically but bought it for my brother and sister to share

i have NO idea how a sewing machine works, ask an old lady, they would know better than me

I am not overly domestic, i cook and clean REALLY well, but i have no child raising tendencies, nor do i know how to iron

Just to get you all updated, I had a pretty strange night, last night. (Go back to around page 4 or something...)
To recap, I'm diabetic, and I shot myself with the wrong type of insulin before I went to bed around 12:30.
It would have brought my blood sugar count down to about minus 150 (You'd be dead by about +10)
Had to stay up, take in a lot of sugar and monitor myself every 15 min's or so. finally got fairly stabilized around 4 AM.
Thanks to all of you who stayed with me.........

yah somehow i missed the occurance, don't know how though, i must have zoned out for a bit

i can't even imagine how annoying it must be to be diabetic, i mean obviously there are things out there much worse, but i know about the severity of those types of situations and what it can lead to

good thing you're ok though
