At least thats what he's gonna tell everyone. I was on one of my typical late night cruses down the way, when I come upon a brand new M5 at a red light. I happend to get behind him. The light turned green and he gingerly left the light at what I would call a Grany pace. So whats A guy to do, I go around his slow driving ***. Now let me put this in perspective. I never got the rpm's above 2500 the hole time. Anyway, I got along side him and he hammers it and off he goes. Well the funny thing about beeing in this part of the city is that theres another RED light just a half mile up the road. Yep, you guessed it. I ended up next to him at the light with no one in front of us. Now I rolled up there with the full intention of complimenting him on his ride, BUT, picture Farva in the movie Super Troopers. "I got you good you focker" followed by creepy laugh. yeah, he was proud. I was just shocked. I meen WTF did he think I was stupid. Then says lets race. OK!!! YEAH, SURE, I'll just bend over and take it right. Anyway, I don't see where these guys get off beating a slow *** car in there very nice, expensive, luxury sports cars, and then coming off like its was even a race. (shrugs sholders) I don't know. I'm just at a loss.

If you see another one like that, ask him if he has gotten the OMG-733T transmission computer flash from TSB-17 done yet. Tell him that BMW is voiding warranties on non-flashed transmission computers if not done by Nov 1. That's total BS, but E60 M5 owners are complete idiots and know nothing about mechanics so it'll probably scare him enough to go to the dealer the next day, or at least sound like an idiot on the M5 board. Or tell him it's smoking when he gets on it....

 

Saw a new M5 at the Porsche/Audi dealer yesterday afternoon while I was waiting on a tire change (had a left rear blowout.)
Owner was an overweight, balding middle-aged man.
What do you think, mid-life crisis or just compensating???

Dude, its not like you have the slowest car out there. And audis arent exacly known for there cheapness and lack of luxury. You cant compare a supercar with an A4. If a Veyron pulled up next to that M5 he'd feel small and feel like his car was completely obsolete. Guys a **** and karma will catch up. Thats happened to me like 100 times... people with nice cars feel like they need to be dicks about them. If you pulled up to a broke-down 85 civic and the dude was driving like he "races" your cleerly gunna play with it a little bit to let him know your in a beter car. Everything goes full circle.
