Its all a start towards that great Liberal Ideal of having nothing but small, crappy, Electric cars on the road that limit your ability to travel any where....

... good ol' Barney says; "A Public Option plan is the first step towards the ultimate goal of having a Single Payer, goverment controlled, healthcare."

lol...lets not get started with a healthcare debate

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-bY92mcOdk

no matter the intention that the democratic leaders portray, they have repeatedly stated that single payer is the goal

"from each according to their means, to each according to their needs (the needs that are defined by the govnt"

it is the classic socialist mantra and a good way to describe single payer.

And the lesson from cash for clunkers is that you have a govnt program that was suppose to begin at a certain date and suppose to cost a certain amount. The program was delayed from the very start thanks to all of the red tape, and has cost 3 times initial estimates. There is no way that they are capable of effectively reorganizing 1/6 of the nations economy.

This program is like the others, it seems. That is, this is going to be great! Well, except for you. I tried to refinance but my loan didn't qualify. Then they expanded the program. My loan still doesn't qualify. Tried to do the CARS thing (for my daughter's car) - it gets 19mpg and the cutoff is 18mpg. Sigh, well glad my tax dollars are helping others (not).

That will happen sometimes. You also probably make just enough income, or are probably not quite as of an illegal alien as the government would like to give you other tax-funded benefits as well. Hey, does anyone know if illegal aliens are eligible to participate in the cash for clunkers program or if USA citizenship is a requirement? ...this I gotta know. Thanks.
