anybody else watch it yet?

i really liked it!
it was action packed!
true it didnt follow the traditional james bond lines, and it was the first "sequel" but unless your hung up on those 2 facts...it was an awesome movie

 

i thought it was good, ppl ive talked to said they thought it was too story-line-y, but i didnt mind. he's still a bad *** imo.

 

yea, Alison and i went to see it last night after dinner, we both enjoyed it alot, and there were only 6 ppl in the entire theater....lol

 

Haven't seen it but what the hell is a quantom of solace?

 

Solace is "to console, to make feel better"

Quantum is the organization he is up against....that help any?

 

Uh huh. Title sounds cool, but means nothing.

 

It was a good movie, but it was a terrible James Bond movie. Bond is supposed to be an uber-suave, rule-bending, high-tech spy, not an emofag who's on a vengeance trip who's only gadget is a cameraphone. I know that this new James Bond is supposed to be the beginning, but seriously, bring on the rocket launchers in the headlights and watches with lasers. If they wanted to make a new hero, they should have made a new movie entirely, not called it a Bond movie.

 

It was a really great movie I thought. Now that I look at it though its not really a bond movie lol. 100% worth watching none the less.

 

Quantum means essentially "an amount" large or small, but of significance.

You got it half right. In the story it refers to how much time Bond has to mourn his lovers death. Meaning in the death of those that killed her.

In truth, it's actually taken from a short story called "A Quantum of Solice" by Ian Fleming - the creator of James Bond. But I think the story was not about Bond, if I recall.
