internet and video presentations done by people who put facts together, documentries..
People who do presentations, and put so called facts together, do so to try and prove a point - their own point... their own opinion.
And sad as it is, people normally go to presentations that hold a similar wave of thought of their own in an attempt to bolster their own reason for believing what they do.
Very few people who believe one thing go to a seminar that is trying to prove points on the competitve point of view (unless its to heckle or provide contrasting pov's). You think you are being objective, but how can that be when you go to presentations (or watch tv shows or movies) simply to reinforce what you think already?
And when people do see something preaching from the other side, the first instinct is to defend your point of view, not to weigh what the other side is thinking.
This is why most of this country cannot think on its own.

200 people eh, that could pretty much guarantee cult status! Sweeeeeet! haha
and check this out,
Confirmation Bias: The tendency to pay attention primarily to information that confirms existing views or beliefs.
We tend to notice and remember mainly information that lends support to these views -- information that confirms what we already believe.
Only evidence that confirms our views "gets inside", any other information that is noticed, is quickly rejected as false material. Clearly then, the confirmation bias is one tendency that can lead us to serious errors in our efforts to understand others or ourselves.
Paraphrasing my pysch text... holds frightenly true for this guy, eh? Im learning stuff... sweet!
