I just picked up a TV... after researching LCD's for weeks without even thinking of plasma's, I stumbled across some info that had me curious.

Long story short, I ended up with a Panny Viera, 50". I got the Z800 with THX certification. It's very - VERY - nice.

 

first of all Nice tv Spiel, secondly Plasma's have come along way when they first came out there were all sorts aof problems most noteabbly was screen burn. If you left it on a station like fox that alwyas has there logo up in the corner, you would eventually always see the fox logo no matter what station you were on, also they wouldn't warranty them because of said problems. I have heard they have gotten better.

 

I have a 75" 720p projector in my bedroom with Blu Ray. I just need some good sound...

I sell my Insignia 27INCH on craigslist....

I go to bestbuy then buy a 37INCH HDTV Insignia, then monday comes and I see the Dynex for 699.99 THE SAME PRICE AS THE 37 i just got!! And the Dynex is plasma SO i decided to get the Dynex....took my tv Monday and exchanged it.

Colors dont look right...More crisps on PLASMA

 

Sort of depends on who makes the panel and what signal you are using. I was joking though, overall it's a toss up imo.

 

whatever you do stay away from DLP - it never lasts longer than a year before something goes wrong with it.

My 52" is collecting dust now because of a "cooling fan error"

Going to be replacing it with a 60" LCD soon!

 

I bought this about a year ago and it's my current set-up. It's a Hitachi 42" 1080i/720p Plasma but I want to go to a 50" 1080p sometime soon. It's all just a matter of money and hobbies, which I seem to have to much of ........ hobbies that is not money ......

I do love my surround sound and blu-ray .......
