Default Part 1- Aluminum pedals install

Well, I received my eagerly awaited pedals from autovation a few weeks ago & decided to install them Today. (well actually it was the one day my dad was at his house & would let me use his tool & garage etc.

Sorry for the lousy pics - I forgot the camera & had to use my phone to snap pics.

Heres what i started off with. plain rubber pedal covers.[:'(] pretty easy to remove - just pulled off, they werent screwed in.

in the box comes a set of directions - dead pedal, clutch, brake, n accelerator. plus all necessary bolts, screws, n allen wrench...
instructions were pretty straightforward - but the installation guide on the website is alot better & has pictures
install instructions with pics

Heres my pops trying to be all fancy, he's got a mirror so he can see from behind where the nut goes..
and also a mini level which came in handy.

This was the one real pain we had with the install. The drill was too bulky and kept hitting the bottom of the console,
so we couldnt get a straight angle from which to drill.

to bad we started late..It was getting cold n dark faaast. this is what it looked like outside. it actually started raining shortly after.
(we had moved outside to try n get some light... then froze. brrr) So unfortunately after installing
the clutch, brake and dead pedal - we left the accelerator for next week.

Heres what it looks like now - (minus the accelerator [&o] )
I must say there is a nice difference - I feel like it's more responsive, lighter compared to the clunky rubber pedals,
these you can feel the difference when braking etc. plus they look so much cleaner.
I also believe there was a total HP gain of about 10-15 at the wheels..

I'll post the pics of the finished install hopefully next week !

Thanks - they were actually a birthday gift from my sister...
but these were $130.00 - the grid version which is a little bit nicer, but u add like + $30.0
check em out - autovation custom pedals

I dont think I wouldve bought them myself (pricey), but im glad I got them, the quality / finish is great. The customer service
was great as well - sending out tracking information & answering my questions, also they checked to make sure I ordered
the correct part, apparently the b5s4 is "drive by wire" which means the throttle is shaped diferently.

These are alot nicer than the $60 carbon fiber snap on Sparcos I had on my 240sx a long time ago...
(& that set didnt include the dead pedal)
These are defenitely customized for your car, as is evidence in the fit & finish.

Looks good! Funny how much just a good set of aluminum pedals can add to the appearance of a car.

Thnks Quattro... very true.. I have learned more so now, since owning an audi - an understated & clean
look can go a long way...

Yeah.. the hard part will be the accelerator this weekend.
its all the way in the corner, and hard to drill at a good angle to get the screws flush...
