Default Parents ONLY, please!

All are welcome to comment, but, PLEASE, only 'Rents get to vote...

edyt: If you still stay with your 'Rents, go get them and ask them to vote. This poll is a "social experiment," if you will. More votes will help either make or break my point...

My parents voted for #1, they were pretty well prepared. I'm the second of three, btw. 20 year old older brother, I'm 17, my sister is 10.

I read several books - and many websites, also went to many classes to prepare myself,
but still I was totally clueless...

I think that there are so many things to discover w/ each child you have, not just the first... I think itll be a
different new experience w/ every kid u have.

I voted for I didn't have a clue, but not for the resons you might think. I was prepared for the sleepless nights, the stinky poop, the vomit, the boogers, but what I wasn't prepared for or didn't have a clue of was the way my son made me change how I thought about the world, changed my temper, and made me feel a love that is so different that what I had ever felt before, it was truly a shock, and now I look forward to another one this year, we hope.

Actually, Thndrlight, thats EXACTLY what I was hoping someone would bring up!!! THAT'S the self-same clue I was honestly refering to. The clue that, that having children MAKES you start to look at something OTHER than yourself as a reason for being. Turns selfish into selfless, without you really seeing it coming.

Good luck! May you be twice blessed.

Any Man who is lucky enough to get a chance to be there, in the room, when their child is born will get to experience his heart LITERALLY melting in his chest... Hope you don't have a GHAY doctor like we did (not that there's anything wrong with that...) for our second child (my Son).

So, we (I) still more votes to provide a good statistical representation... GO GET YOUR 'RENTS, NOW!!!

i was prepared, cuz we planned it and were thrilled when it finally happened. of course, if i had gotten pregnant during our early years of marriage, it would have been harder to make ends meet. but, you do what you have to do.
wow. that was a long time ago. i certainly didnt drive an audi back then....i think we had a datsun 310 and a buick skyhawk.
