paintless dent removal
anybody have experience with places like dent works or dent doctor? i have some serious hail damage i need to get taken care of and am unsure whether to take it to a body shop or a dent removal joint. the damage is pretty serious, all over the hood, roof, trunk lid and even the doors. state farm quoted me $5300 to get it repaired.

RE: paintless dent removal
I haven't used them, BUT, I have a couple co-workers who have, and they said teh same thing Avant said. Depending on the work, prices are negotiable. As long as teh dents aren't TOO deep, or TOO sharp/pointy they should be able to hook you up OK. Now, as far as price?!?!?!? Ioun't know...

RE: paintless dent removal
I have had some experience with them, i found that the spots were still weak though like one went back in to the dented form like a few months later, but the place fixed it again for free i think it was $200 to have two or three small dents fixed

RE: paintless dent removal
Dent guys clean up after a hail storm eh?
They are usually really good... have them give the car a good look over and quote you. They'll be up front and honest as to whether they will be able to get rid of them all.

RE: paintless dent removal
I would have to see your damage, but i think 5300 is ridiculously high. that would mean i would have to spend several days on just your car. its pretty unlikely. Paintless dent removal applies amazing techniques, very costly if done in a more traditional fashion. go with PDR. pay less. Get it done better without crappy blending.
