RE: In other news tonight..
Funny story...
But during my days in the Army ('92) a close friend thought the Super Nintendo was the shizit when it came to game playing. PC's were just coming into the mainstream and I had the latest and greatest 486 system and I showed him then how much better they were.
He was floored and immediately went out and bought a PC as well. Well buyers remorse set in and he hated loading programs and such - besides learning the computer system all together - he almost sold the thing. Over a 12 pack I convinced him to stick with it and soon he was PC saavy and loving the games (then it was XWing lol) couldn't get him away from the thing.
He got out in '93 and went to college studying Comp Sci and got snatched up by IBM the day of graduation in '96.
He's currently Head of one of their database systems for the Midwest.
And it all started from playing on a Nintendo... lol
I still say he owes me for that 12 pack!
