Hey, what do you guyssay about a 2001 GSXR, for $3300? Its been down once and has some scratches on the fairings - he said there are no cracks in the plastic though. He had frame sliders on it. Says it runs great...everything's straight, clear title...
Do you think its a great deal? Its about 2 hours away and I'd like to get some better pictures of it, but I'm probably going to at least go see it. Any advice/opinions?

blue book is listing it retail for a little over 4g's
so it looks like a good deal - if that mileage is good for a bike of 6 years...

Im sure you could get a bit less bec. of the scratches etc...
Good luck !

that's not bad, 2001 is the first year they changed to fuel injection, and they also switched from the old school SRAD style to the newer, smaller style. 3300 for a clean title 01 is a very good deal...around here that would sell for closer to 5k

get a yami, waaay more fun for city riding even comfy on long trips. only thing you need for them is a steering stabilizer, they're front end is quite light.

How hard was it down? Did he drop it while parking or did he do some evil kneivel ****?

Its always hard to get a straight-up answer for that. You see some adds which say it's been 'laid down' - as if gently onto a mattress. You see a picture and there are dents, missing mirrors, cracked fairings...etc.
From the pictures I DO have, it looks like it went down rather hard. I talked to the guy yesterday and he said there was nothing cracked, just marred... everything is straight..just comsmetic stuff..
I think it helped he had frame sliders. Even if its tossed around I'll be happy win an injected bike for around 3 grand - its my first bike and I'll probably drop it (sorry - lay it down) once anyway....
Sounds like you guys think its a good deal?

Thanks for your help bytheway...

exactly, if this is your first bike i can almost guarantee you're going to drop it...don't fix any of the plastics, just ride it with the damage and enjoy it.
