The supercharger for the 4.2 is supposed to be out very soon... it will run low boost and get you well over 400 hp. It'll be expensive, but whatever... just do it. I'd never go through winter in a RWD car...

 

Well Idk if any of you guys have watched that show on Speed, Sport Car Revolution, last year, they really tricked out this B6 A4 1.8T ultrasport and it's a really sweet ride (I think it makes nearly 350bhp AND it is waaaaay lighter than an S4). It's a nice little car, and it can fool a lot of people.

Has anyone driven an S8 before? I have and A8L and was considering switching over to the S8 What are some pros & cons?

Three entirely different cars with entirely different characters. This is like asking which you should get, a 760i or a Navigator. . .

The Merc is designed for you to not even notive that you're driving it. The M3 is intended to thrill you at every second, even going through the McDonald's drive-thru. The Audi is somewhere in between, it's a bit of a coddle you in luxury car, but with a decent bit of speed to go with it.

I'll break it down as best I can....

Buy the Merc if you're an idiot. Sorry, that's all I can say. The C-class, even AMGed is still just their entry level model, and Merc haven't (as BMW and Audi HAVE) figured out how to make their low-end car really desireable. The auto tranny in that car is one of the most underwhelming experiences you'll ever have. It takes a good twenty minutes for it to respond to throttle input (ok, I'm ezaggerating mildly for dramatic effect, but you get the idea), the traction control is the most intrusive humanly possible, and the interior is nowhere near what you would expect for the price. That being said, the acceleration is brisk, which is a life-saver as that is the only thing this car can do as well as you would hope it to do.

??? I was asking for opinions comparing the 2003 A8L to an Audi 2004-5 S8. I am thinking of changing my ride next year. BTW I have the 03' A8L now.
