car looks sweet but you just never know.. i have been toying with the idea of selling my a4 and getting an s4.. want to play around with that 2.7t really bad... good luck with the car.. or finding another one

im not too worried, (okay a little) about how hard it was driven, i mean crap.. look at some of the members that are running 11seconds on their stock internals.. and having no problems.. so the turbos are only 30k miles old.. I think in the long run, it would be worth it.. would sell my A4 for about 6k, and only have to come up with the other 10 or 11k that sounds worth it to me

Are they new k03's or did he upgrade to the k04.. Im betting they happeend while under warranty otherwise be suprised he didnt upgrade the turbos.
I think your best bet is to talk to the guy on the phone and just feel him out. Ask him questions, and go by your gut as to "do you really trust this guy".. does he sound like a genuine guy. Thats gonna be your best basis.. try to get all the facts from him.. maybe talk to his service manager as well as if you go there or else have him, get it inspected by a new mechanic and see what he says.

Mods to a car are usually done by someone that cares about the car. An unmodified car is more likely to miss oil changes, use the cheapest oil, wear out bushings from driving with worn parts, have oil leaks, use 85 octane. So either way, you never really know what your getting into.

also I believe locally imola:virus on Audiworld PNW forum is looking to sell and he has taken his back to stock.
PS are we still on for this sat? I am looking forward to it. Call me we can work out the details. Karlmarx was here yesterday and with just wax his car was completely different. It was something to behold. He parked it next to an other red a4 1.8t and he was about 3 shades darker with 10 times the depth and reflection. I can't wait to get it all polished up.

Somebody else sent me a message, they noticed i was interested in an S4.. He sent me this

Hey man...here goes the long winded email!!! Just some
info. on the car and why I'm selling. The car
currently has 92K on it. It's a 2001, but has had ALL
the maintenance done:
1. Both cam tensioners and valve covers (done at 81K)
2. ALL control arms in front along with Tie Rod Ends
(done at 81K)
3. Timing belt done at 65K
4. Oil changed every 4-5K with Mobil 0-40W(trust me
you can go to 7K without it and have no issues!)
5. All brake fluid changed to RBF600 (done at 81K)
6. Front Trannny has Motul, rear diff has M1-75W90
(done at 81K)
Now, currently the car is full Stage 3(AWE). However
when I sell it I plan on taking some of the stuff off
and putting it back to somewhat stock. Some of the
stuff WILL stay. For instance:
1. Electric Fan Kit with Flex-A-Lite controller
2. F-hose delete(so you never have to worry about that
going bad which is a common accurance on 2000-2001's)
3. Bilstein/H&R susp. with ECS coilover kit
4. 18x8 RS4 DTM wheels(one with a little curb
rash...thanks to the woman!)
5. RS4 pressure plate and disk with resurfaced stock
flywheel
6. Fuel pressure gauge(under hood)
7. Carbon Fiber engine covers
The reason why I'm selling is I'm planning to buy a
2001 S4 Avant and swap most of my stuff over to that.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my Imola sedan.
I'm getting married next month and want an Avant to
tool the dogs around in, plus I've always wanted one.
Now, I was going to do one of two things. Take the
K04s off and put some rebuilt K03's in or some K03
hybrids in. I don't know how much you are willing to
spend or what. But I'm willing to negotiate on price
on what is done. The body is in perfect shape except
for some minor dents on the trunk from where I banged
it against my tool bench in my garage. But I'm willing
to knock off some $$$ for that. You can barely see it
in the pics.
Anyway, how soon are you looking to buy? How much do
you want to spend, etc? Are you looking for low
mileage, Stg. 3, etc., etc. I believe I owe around
$20K on the car, but don't think I'm going to get that
for it too be honest. Just trying to get an idea of
what you want in the car and see if we can work
something out since I'm pretty motivated to sell but
don't want to fall TOO upside down on what I owe.
Here's some pics...the Stoptechs would come off, but I
have the stock brakes still and they have PLENTY of
good pad left and the rotors are new. Also, the pedals
on the interior and the **** in that (RS4 air leather)
would have to come out. The woman DEMANDED those stay!

as it was her daily driver! I drive a truck for work
