General maintaince! The EVO has almost 30kmi on it now. Time for an oil change. Pick up 5qts of Redline 10-40, get a filter from my stock pile (picked up a case from the dealer for $50).
Jack up one side of the car, remove drain plug, right next to it is the filter. 20min later I'm driving it. The filter is like U so it doesn't leak when I unscrew it. No belly pan to remove ( it cuts out for the oil filter & drain plug). Then I changed out spark plugs, took all of 10min VS at least 1hr on the S4.

You can make fun of the car all you want, it's stupid fast, handles better then any Audi could dream of, has far less problems, is one of the easiest cars to work on (30min for Turbo back exhaust VS 10hrs for the S4).

To bad the EVO isn't refined (part of the reason I like it) & it's a little uncomfortable on long trips (No cruise control, stiff suspension).

 

I will gladly take your PITA S4 off of you! I can fly down and drive it home tonight if you want!

I never said I don't like the S4, just working on the S4 is always a PITA.

It's a 2005 EVO 8 with every option (leather & infinity sound).

Yea, puts Audi to shame(!) even with aftermarket suspensions VS stock EVO. Go & drive one, it's better then 95% of the cars out there. The EVO was even better in the snow this year due to the Snow program on the center diff.

 

One key note; Evo's are all wheel drive as well.
