One hour in Germany...
I flew into Germany today to refuel on my way home from the "Middle East." I'm not sure if I am more excited about being home or the fact I was able tovisit Germanyand see1 blue TT roadster and 1 black TT coupe, 1 B5A4, and a 2008ish BMW 5-series and a new Mercedes sedan (both ready for shipment on the flight-line). Saw a few Polizei autos too. (VW and Mercedes - wagons too)
To list a few things I'm excited about now that I'm back the U.S. are grass, fresh air, non-pulsing shower water (warm for 2 minutes, ice cold for 5 seconds, immediately followed by scorching hot water for another 5 seconds), real toilets with proper plumbing, and paved roads among other things!
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! I should be able to drive my car some time next week! w00t!
Ok, that flight drained me; time for bed!

RE: One hour in Germany...
I'm glad you're back home safe and hopefully it'll be for a while so you can enjoy the things like flush toilets. I love going backpacking myself because it is a way to get away from everything we take for granite and realize how much we truly have in life. IT makes you love the little things in life and appreciate those around you that much more IMO.
I'm glad you got the paved roads again, and I'm sure the Audi is a nice thing to be back to as well.
