What are the fines for 40 over the limit on the highway ? anyone know?

yeah weird eh.. life has it that it was me and not the wrx lol .. i am so disgusted with myself right now its not even funny. i think im going to have a drink and go sleep.

i got court soon. what else can i expect.

40 over??! highway speeds around here r 65mph. if u were going 40 over (105) cops COULD put u into jail, BIG fines prob around $500ish, u could also get ur licences taken away.

 

I just got pulled over this weekend too!

A friend was visiting from out of town, he and I were just talking and telling jokes and I was just "driving normal".

Then I saw the Trooper on the over pass.

The plane got me at 92mph and the overpass Trooper got me at 95 (appearantly, I was accelerating?).

The Trooper gave me the 92 (what a nice guy) in a 65.

27 over, 6 points and $288.00.

I'm disgusted too.

I'm having my lawyer take care of it, but it's still gonna be a 4point when he gets done and the fine stays the same.

Back to driving with cruise control for the next three years. It's either on or off. I can't drive "normal".

I really need to get some track driving in...

 

It's the same sort of thing in Michigan, when I drive up to visit my kids... Speed limits 65-75, most places, and they *grace* you 15-20 over, and I still see people pulled over... HOW FAST WER THEY GOIN, fercryinoutLOUD? I've had Semi's pass me doin 80 (me, not them) south of Detroit, with teh Po-Po parked by teh side of teh road. I guess you gotta rilly, rilly FLY, sometimes...

 

That's a wreckless driving charge with an expensive fine, and license revocation/suspension. Damn, I hope its not to severe. Good luck.
