let's say you had at most, $4k to go blow on a "project car" to hook up and throw a turbo on. what would you get?

suggestions?

was thinking perhaps a 2000 jetta.

Pick one up for decent price with good body condition, drop a bit of cash on a used GSR motor (or some other motors), and maybe drop a turbo or a supercharger.

But if you want Euro, the E30 BMW's are "in" right now. I heard they aren't that expensive and easy to feed with forced inductions.

 

why not put 4k into a big turbo on yours?... your car could be a project

 

does 4k include all mods as well?

I am thinking stay awd or rwd....im not really into fast fwd cars....

maybe a miata, 240sx, A4, eclipse gsx, talon, Datsun 510, 240z....

if I went fwd than I would prolly go for an oldschool gti....

I've always loved the Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse. That boxy frame from the early 90s. 90-94 I believe it was.

 

My last project car cost about that completed. 1990 RX-7 n/a not running mint body cost me about 600. Engine swap to turbo about 3400. Drove great when I was done too.

 

Are you talking about the first generation DSM?
