Default new job

so the last few days i've been super stressed out about my job and the direction my department has been going in...the GM keeps giving me the crappy employees that aren't good enough for the other departments..which is very frustrating since my dept is by far the most complicated and requires a much higher level of intelligence than being a painter/mechanic/driver...anyway, i talked to him today and i wasn't happy with our conversation..he basically told me i'm SOL...so i called my old boss from the motorcycle dealership i used to work at and the first thing he said to me was "come back and work for me!"...i didn't even have to ask him if he was hiring..so i took that as a sign and told him i'm coming back! i'll make a little less hourly but i'll also make commission so it'll even out...anyway, i'm SUPER stoked because it's a WAY less stressful job...just thought i'd share!

Congrats!!! Even if teh $$$ dint wash, sometimes the peace of mind is worth it. Good luck. Have you talked salary with your new(old) boss, yet? If he was THAT anxious to have you back maybe he'd be WILLING to pony up a little more change to get your winning attitude, professional demeanor, and Customer-friendly ways BACK in his shop?!?!? Just a thought.

Congrats! It feels good seeing a job you are sick of in the rear view mirror. Good luck with the new place.

gratz. My job right now is pretty stressful too. We are really understaffed, and have just lost 3 employees in the last two weeks, plus two of our best employees are going to be gone by august. That will leave the store with 3-5 employees to do a job that needs at least 8-10. Not to mention 10+ hour shifts every day 5-6 days a week. Good overtime, but its hard.

We also have a new manager that was supposed to turn the store around, but he's not very good. The only reason we are doing well right now is because we have 2 guys that have been with the company for 10 and 13 years. We've been hiring for at least a month, and I am the only employee that has stuck around or not been fired that has been hired since then.
