RE: New GTO
POS American garbage if ya ask me...[edit] Ok, I re-read that its a little harsh. I worked at my neighbors
Ponitac dealer a few years ago, dealing with these cars was the most depressing thing ever. The interior
plastics are low grade, fit and finish was terrible. I could go on. Its gonna take alot more than a big motor
and bland styling to get GM back in the game. VW/BMW/Audi for me, thanks.

I like them but don't think I would ever own one. Maybe as a second car. The interior is terrible. The new '06's are really good looking on the outside though. I think I read somewhere that if you buy one, you have to grow a rat tail...

RE: New GTO
well they have a pretty solid engine (ls1 for 05 and ls2 for 06), and i'm pretty sure the chassis is based on another gm platform, so it's not like its some new experimental car with all kinds of problems...just because they didn't sell well doesn't necessarily mean they're bad cars...i think it probably has more to do with gas prices and the fact that this thing has a 5.7L V8...i'd take one.

I hope gas prices don't encourage GM to make some of the super POS of the early 80s all over again. What a dark period for cars.
