the last generation of SIs were trash, the 00s were worlds better, but this one is pretty freakin impressive...i was reading about in a few months ago in a R&T or C&D (one of those) and it should pretty much spank all the previous Sis

Yeah, this car is going to sell like bloody crazy. I hate seeing the cobalts on the road... GM trash. This redesigned civic will put everything in its place. I bet it has a 6 spd now, too. And honda transmissions are the best out there.

the car in the article i read did have a 6-speed, and a MEAN brembo brake setup, too. but i remember them saying that this was still a prototype, and the brembos might not make it to production. i'm pretty sure the 6-speed is a sure thing though.

Well do a google search for 2006 civic Si, it comes up... it was at one point a concept, but yeah, add some door handles, prolly slightly different wheels or something... but at this point, if its a 2006, they dont have any time to make any big changes to it at this point. So what you see is pretty much what we'll get.

I highly doubt it will see brembo's, but yes, the 6 speed gearbox is something I'd have expected... and like I said, honda's manual gearboxes are heralded as the nicest out there. The NSX for example set the bar for manual shifting. I dunno, I'm not going to run out and buy a civic or anything, but it looks tight! If that car came out in an AWD platform, I'd be horribly tempted... mmm honda reliability, and sweet sweet fuel economy. haha Still though, everytime I get behind the wheel of the A4 I'm a pretty happy guy. I doubt if a civic could ever do that for me.

this thing is gonna be sweet...200hp, 8k redline, 6-speed, 225/40-18 tires stock, AND they kept the brembo setup for the production models..

the new Si comes standard with huge four piston Brembo calipers biting down on massive front and rear cross drilled Brembo rotors.
EDIT: someone find me the weight of this thing, i'm REALLY interested to find out how much this thing weighs and i can't find it anywhere
