Thats what I was thinking ^^^

Real estate isn't in the options list, because this is my 401K, not a pile of money I have laying around. I can move my stocks around within my original list, and thats about it.

Thinking taking from my international fund and putting it back into GE is probably my best option. Went up $2/share today, should have made the investment switch last night! Oh well, I'll do it tonight when I get off work, hopefully it keeps climbing another 3-4 bucks.

Well have you bought a house before? If your a first time buyer you can take money out of your 401k or IRA penalty free to use on a down payment on any real estate you want to buy. You just have to read the books about how the government works, there are tremendous loop holes that 95% of the US population has no idea about.

nope, always rented. thats good info though, ive been thinking that i shouldn't be wasting my money on an apartment, and should take my rent money, and turn it into a mortgage payment. I'd like to build a small log cabin, with a HUGE garage next to it.

Anyone want to trade rent with me? Mine is $2500/month.

Also it's good to see that the sig pic thing worked itself out.

I have a small 2 bedroom paying $900 a month. Place looks like a motel - 1 level, with I think 5 units in a row. I'd assume for $2500/month, you're living in something a little nicer.

I also invest in real estate.... that is all I do and have been very successful and I started with only a little help from parent’s money wise and a few small loans. I now have contractors do most of the work, I arrange things, and watch the cash come in.

i've managed a 4 unit apartment, thats as far as my real estate involvement goes. I enjoy my job, and don't think I have the time to get myself into real estate again/more, even if the money was better. Well, maybe. missed a couple days of work over the last month, and a bunch of overtime, and it's really showing in the checking account.
