Default need feedback

Alright so tonight I got the question you all dread. No, it doesn't have to do with marriage. WORSE! This girl I'm going out with wants to drive my car. She doesn't know how to drive a manual and wants to learn. Please post reactions/advice/explain to her worst case scenario.

I'm going to show her this thread so she knows I'm hesitant for a reason. So please, be courteous.

Thanks

i will lay it out like this... i met my gf when i had two cars, a 1996 mazda 626 5 speed, and a 84 camaro with a rather biuld 350 and a super t-10 4 speed with 3:73 in the rear i have a slip around here somewhere I ran a 13.186 on street tires doing a burnout but at any rate I let her drive the 626 and well lets just say it ended with me needing a new door for the camaro.. I still dont really know how she did it. she did fine till she pulled into my drive way..

dont let her drive your car, and dont let her drive any car that will ever be close to yours

I let my GF drive my car once, around a quite residential block, with me in the passenger seat. She also was not very good with a stick shift. That was enough - she never asked to drive it again...

Oh, come on. She's your girl, right? She's not some random retard. Does she have any coordination skills at all?

Take her to an empty parking lot after hours and she will get it in no time.

Don't pre-party beforehand and don't worry about her doing serious damage. You've probably even stalled it before yourself.

If things are going terribly wrong and she hasn't got it into gear once after about 10 tries, then maybe talk to her about how sexy you think it is when women drive automatics.
