With a act of vandalism like that, you might not have to pay a deductible. I had someone hit my truck in a parking lot, and left the scene and I didn't have to pay. But I would have the cops go talk to you ex and her bf.

 

^A hit and run is a totally different thing than an act of vandalism. I could be wrong, but I don't think any insurance company will pay for vandalism repairs, even if you pay the deductable.

 

yeah it was probably filed as a hit and run! but idk i could be wrong.
tomorrow im gonna go get some quotes on the repair and see if its worth reporting to insurance! im still trying to upload the bad pics i got with my phone!

vandalism is covered under comprehensive coverage from the insurance company. if you have tht and have a deductable and the adjuster says he'll give you a check for 4500, you pay your deductable out of that 4500, not out of your pocket before you see the money.

 

im gonna check if or what mine covers!
