Default MP3 Question

Ok...I've got a strange question that i'm hoping someone will have the answer to. I have been looking for a program that will change the bitrate on mp3s and have yet to come up with anything. I'm hoping that there's one out there that will do mass quantities at a time since I have over 150 gigs of mp3s. I want to change the bitrate down so they don't take up so much damn room. Please let me know if there is any programs you guys know of to do this, I know we have some techies in our midst.

Thanks

Um... iTunes. The greatest music management program to date. I don't care if you're on a Mac or not.

Highlight the ones you want to convert, click Advanced-->Convert to mp3. Whatever is set as your preferance for importing, it will convert it to that.

Now, granted, it won't delete the original mp3, you'll have to do that yourself.

I know iTunes will convert, but I'm looking for a program that will do mass amounts of mp3's at a time. I don't have the patience to sit here and convert thousands of mp's one by one. Good call on iTunes though, it is a fantastic music management program, but not quite what I'm looking for.
