So if the old gas sits at the top, then you should refill once you reach half a tank so your constantly using the new gas sinks to the bottom right? You don't really want to run it til the light comes on because there are i guess crude deposits is what you would call it on the bottom of the tank and you risk sucking those up and clogging the injectors. Chevron did a comercial about it once. I also hear shell is the worst cuz it creates a lot of these deposits, but I don't know how true that one is.

 

It was a sarcastic joke. When you put more fuel in your tank, it all gets mixed up.

 

I wasn't too sure, but the 2nd part of what i said was told to me by dealerships, mechanics and all those annoying chain letters you recieve from your mother-in-law.
