Can someone tell me where the hell "warsh" came from?
Last time I checked "wash" didn't come with a R

 

I pronounced "wash" as "worsh" in fifth grade, once, and was mocked by my teacher for doing it - I've been a stickler on the word ever since. My parents get pissed when I correct them on little things like that, but I can't help but do it.

 

I fall victim to pronouncing acorn as egg-corn...

soda- i hear Soder... we take out "R's" and replace them with "Ah" .. but some people add in R's when their is an 'A' at the end?? Good ol MAss

 

My dad always says the word "growing" like "groin." And my mom always says "stupid" like "stoopit." Pops is from D.C., moms is from NY.

 

In the south we soften a lot

Butter becomes buutah

porch becomes poe-ech

F*ck you becomes That's nahce.

 

i thoguht the south says porch - poooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrch, cuz your so slow down there... dagon!
