Might have a new car by the end of the week.
Im thinking of picking up my friends Probe GT. Its a great car and i love it. It needs a battery, he said hes giving it away and it has to be gone out of his bosses garage by friday. So im really thinking about taking it.
On antoher note, do any of you know what kind of performance modificatoins you can do to a probe to beef it up a bit? I would love to make it into an awesome car again.
Do i need to join the ford forums as well?
I am clueless when it comes to cars like that.

Boughta '96a couple years ago for my older daughter's first car. I believe the hp rating for the 2.5 V6 was something like 164.
Anything that bolts up to a V6 Duratec will work - like stuff from the Contour SVT. Don't know about the difficulties, but supposedly you can drop the 3.0 from the Mazda right in.
Unfortunately, we don't have it anymore. The ATX was about to grenade, so we "traded" it in on a Focus. The dealer graciously gave us $100 for it. Shouda kept it for that much, but didn't have the room at the house.

As noted, ATX's could be trouble - hopefully your's is a MTX.

Those big quarter glass pieces are EXPENSIVE. If yours is broke, price one out at a glass shop - I hear it's about $1,000.

Why do you guys always bash Ford so much? They aren't all bad cars, and like any car (except a Fiat[:@]) if you do the regular service to it they will last.
