Congrats. Like CJRando suggests, you should probably consider another occupation. Yea the whole hardcore infantry thing is nice but your goal should be to build a career with usable skills both in the military and civilian life. I know many good, hardworking soldiers who after coming home from deployment and/or leaving the military they can't find a good job because they lack the skills. However, if you plan to become a "lifer" then become an officer and make your way up the ranks$$$.

Like anything - it's what you make of it, mate!
It's a different lifestyle - no nonesense at times - then makes no sense at all. but it will be intense lol
Three rules -
Always obey lawful orders - they may not make sense but you know what's right and what's wrong.
Learn to adapt to any situation.
And if the Navy guys say you have to share the showers because of water conservation aboard ship - don't believe it! or buy plenty of soap-on-a-rope

TT.......Meps is when you go for your physical and all that good ****! When I took the ASVAB I score a 94 and they wanted me to be a "Sonar Tech." Fancy name for listening to noises in the water on a submarine. So I told them NO THANKS. Looking back I should have shipped out, but I was to much of a hard head back then. If you think I am a demon now you should have seen me in my prime So......are you doing boot camp in Great Lakes ???
