major brake service...any tips/tricks??
ok so tonight (or possibly tomorrow if i can't get off work early enough), i'm going to be replacing my front rotors, pads, and ss brake lines at all four wheels...i've done plenty of brake jobs but never any audis...any tips or tricks would be appreciated...also if anyone knows the brake fluid capacity that would be helpful as well

you need a break tool, becasue our calipers need to be rotated when you put then back in, hope i explained that well enough. though if you have done breaks b4 i think you know what im talking about..

Just the rears man, your fine if your only doing the front. other than that pretty strait foward. and please pump up the brakes after your done, known, to manypeople that forgot that step and went drivng into what ever was in front of them HAHA. good luck and take pics.

Bent, if you're doing SS lines all the way around, and even if ou're not, I recommend starting from the wheel farthest away from the resevoir and working your way closer, wheel by wheel. Same with bleeding! ESPECIALLY with the bleeding. Let us know if you experience any special problems, too, so we don't Fup OUR chitt when we do it.

Should be easy, if you encounter any stubborn bolts just spray some liquid wrench and your good. Oh and remember the nuts on the brake lines are easy to strip so be careful.

and yes, i'll definitely make sure to post any problems i run into...hopefully i won't have to though..we'll see...

DAMNIT! my tools are still at my old apt....[:@][:@]
so it looks like i'll have to wait until tomorrow night to do it
does anyone know if i'm going to have to remove the rear wheels when i do the rear ss lines? i know it's not a big deal, i'm just curious..

If you got high enough jackstands or ramps you don't need to remove the wheels. Oh and those things that look like pressure clamps or clips, don't loosen them.
