Macbook in Car?
Just a pipe dream
Put my 13" macbook in my car (doubt it would fit in the glove box), and wire in a power adapter. Use an aux cable to connect to the head unit, and grab an application that will keep the macbook on while the lid is closed. I would make the setup clean and functional. Then I would have an ad-hoc network running and use my iPhone's remote application to control all of my music. I already have a vent holder for the iPhone that's collecting dust.
Seems kind of out there, but what do you think? I hear that there are heating issues with running those programs that keep the computer on with the lid closed.
Not sure if I'm gonna give it a shot, but it seems pretty bad *** because then I will have access to all of my music library with a nice interface, and I wouldn't have to buy a new iPod to accomidate all of my music.
Ideas?

that sounds like a sick idea.
One of my buddies has a civic for his show car for his stereo store, he put like 6 screens in it, then he has an xbox in the dash, and he uses that as a media station, all music and divx movies loaded so he can just navigate thru that, as well as play games.
