Wow, I see someone has their internet muscles on. Is that your E60? I might be a "n00b", but I can get a higher post count and your car will still be ugly.

Yeah, I can't see myself liking the new M5, ever. Every single previous M is nicer looking, in my opinion. I can't really argue with 507 hp, or that unreal transmission... but, as far as looks are concerned, I'd take a 2003 330Ci over the new m5.

I LOVE the looks of the new BMW's! They finally have some good styling; they've always had nice front ends, but the rest of the cars have left something to be desired in my opinion.

New M5 is fast. I still don't want one.

My thing is that I like the more understated look of the E39. It's incognito, undercover. The E60 is just bold and brash and "look at me!!!". Where the E39 is classy, the E60 is trendy. That's what I don't like about it. It has grown on me to the point that I don't hate it anymore though, so that's a start. They should have switched the design cues from the E60 and E90 (which I do like), since the 3-series buyers are younger and a little more edgy and flashy as a whole, whereas the 5-series buyers are (generally) more reserved.

iDrive and SMG are still tosh though, I don't care what anyone says.

SS - That's a great looking car. I've driven one once. Ever think about putting a short shifter in there?

I tried the UUC short shift kit, but I didn't like the notchy feel for everyday driving. Plus that RX-7 has a modified SSK with throws so short, you just pivot the wrist to change gears. That makes even the UUC feel like I'm rowing a boat, so I sold it.

Yeah, I'd take silvers M5 over the new ones... the M5 used to be something so amazingly unique... 400 hp 4 door sedan... and you can only get it with a 6 spd, right?
