im not sure of this but isnt the b6 the first new car under the new audi president and philosophy. The reason i went with it was because it was a nicer bigger car. It performs superior to the previous generation. All the interior stuff is all opinion i personally like a clean smooth look, i wouldnt even put in a radar detector because i dont like the clutter. but there isnt anything wrong with a b5 either. its design was so cutting edge when it came out that it aged well during its long production run. but the reason the b6 was born was because like everything there is room for improvement, newer upgraded technology, etc. when i bought my b6 at the auction i was close between a b5 s4 or a b6 a4 both were selling for the same depending year and mileage. i went with the b6 but i have no doubt that i would have gone with a b5 s4 if the right one showed itself.

I wasnt planning on getting rid of my B5....but Im definatly adding "test drive B6" on my list of things to do ;P

 

jest, to tell you the truth i was not impressed when i drove the B7 a4. I mean it was a nice car but the clutch sucked and i thought it was overengineered. The BRAKES were AWESOME though!! and handling was insane.

 

if i could afford it i would definately get a b7 s4 or even the 6cyl a4. but those things are 2 new and still 2 expensive

too much **** done to the car. thats when something looses its simplicity. especially when simplicity is what makes it awesome.

 

repeat what is overengineered? in the b6 the dash is cleaner the body lines are smoother everything mounts in much more flush (tailights countour the body lines) and more so in the b7 minus the in your face grill the car looks sculpted.
