I am looking for any info I can get about the Dammasch site (past and/or present), the tunnel, the Living Enrichment Center and any strange occurences in the area.

Is the the tunnel still intact? If so is access still possible?

I've been to the hole in the ground where Dammasch stood. It is a bit creepy to see all the red rubble from the building crushed into the existing dirt and gravel.

BTW - The photos are great. Has anyone mentioned the possible orbs shown in a few of the photos? Do any particular memories stand out from the moment the photos were taken?

 

Google the Ridges in Athens, Ohio. It was a then cutting-edge 'sanatarium' in southeast Ohio in thelate 19th century. Extremely haunted, they pioneered a form of lobotomy there. Feel the top of your eyesocket for a ridge almost directly above your eye; they would take a long, letter-opener looking blade, insert it 4-6" into your brain through this ridge, and proceed to scramble the gray matter of your brain. Anyhoo, crazy **** as been said to haunt the Ridges, and the buildings/grounds complex are actually quite beautiful. Check it out.

 

CAB, Athens is only 1.5 hours from Columbus down 33. Take 33 East to Athens, get off on 682 South, and the Ridges is just past Richland Avenue on your left. Check it out.

I might have to, I've been meaning to go down to OU for the holloween party anyways so maybe i'll check out the abandoned crazy house while there. also I've been meaning to go to hawking hills for some driving shenanigans too so I need to go visit the east part of Ohio sometime, even though it is in the country. If I go I'll take my camera and get some shots for you all. Maybe this summer I'll make a road trip or something with some friends.

 

Halloween at OU is ridiculous. Its just a mob of people and everyone's hammered. It was pretty good time but I don't think i'd do it again.

 

After a couple of them it is better just to get away then stay there during Halloween. If I were you I'd go down on OU's Homecoming weekend, or the first week school gets back in session. There are some ridiculous driving roads down there, check out S.R. 56/S.R. 278 that runs between Nelsonville and Athens. Before you go down, PM me and I'll give you an itinerary if you wanna know whats cool down there.

 

there is a old abandoned asylum like 30 minutes from where i live. It's absolutley huge. I haven't been there personally but i've seen pictures and there is spooky **** in it.
