Liability Question

I've seen the damage and there is a small dent in the door. The quote was $1100 dollars, which to me seems really high. They quoted like 18 hours of labor. 9.5 hours in the paint booth, first of all the paint isn't even chipping, but assuming that it does when they knock the dent out or whatever, should it take 10 hours in a paint booth to paint a door and blend the back door? It seems really long to me.

thats like when i rearended some immigrants in their saturn
didnt speak english
didnt have valid us licsense's

i should have called the cops, but i had to be somewhere

9 months later they call my insurance company for it to be fixed (guess they learned anough english to do so)

so my i.c pays out and dosent even notify me of it, till i went to put my audi on my policy and then they mentioned it

side bar (chevy s10- broke the bug gaurd on the front)
(saturn sedan- 900 bucks in damage and had to bungee the trunk and bumper to the back of the car)

9.5 hours actually dosen't seem too out of line. They are probably blending BOTH ways - into the back door AND the fender. You also have to allow for all the 'de-trim' labor - taking moldings and other attached parts off so you don't leave a tape edge.
