ORIGINAL: Nuvolari

I just had my stolen car recovered(see my thread, A Sad Report...adios Audi) and the two punks (both minors, 16 YO) are being held. They were armed, using my car as a getaway while burglarizing others, and involved in a high speed pursuit, my questions are:

I'm thinking these guys will be charged with the following: [ul][*]Carrying concealed weapon(s)[*]Robbery[*]Car Theft[*]Evading arrest[/ul]With that in mind, how long can these deliquents be put away for? Will they just go to juvi till they're 18, and then serve their sentence? Or will they get off scotch free (which wouldn't surprise me)?

well

car theft = grand theft auto = felony. that won't get dropped

Robbery + concelied weapon = Armed Robbery = felony. don't see that getting dropped

evading arrest... ehh they might drop that one but it's up to the officer and most time they wont.

so if they don't get sent to juvi... which i don' think they will there looking at a min of 5-10 years.

here's a website of average sentence times
http://www.ussc.gov/annrpt/2003/table13.pdf

so unless there getting a hell of a lawyer

Possession of Stolen motor Vehicle
Possession of Burglary tools
Burglary

I was 17 and made a huge mistake robbing a car. I was charged as an Adult and processed in Jail and Cook County Jail. They are most likely getting Probation or supervision (assuming its there 1st offense)
