hey guys just wanted to let you guys know that i toasted my transmission today the transmission was stock but the motor is not. how much is a stock 1998.5 quattro 5speed transmission suppose to handle power wise. mine went like butter fast and a little smooth. let me know your thoughts. thanks

 

i'd say this is more for the a4 b5 section, but you could always get a level10 transmission. i believe they are about 4k, or get a used one on ebay for 500-1000

 

You probably just roasted your clutch.

 

yeah, no way you broke a manual tranny. automatic, i'd believe, but not a manual one. Mike is using the stock tranny on his 800hp a4.
