Back when I got my car last summer I didnt know how to drive a stick. I basically taught myself with some advice from friends. However on the VERY first day that I had it I drove to one of my favorite resturaunts in the city. There was no parking lot so I just parked on the street (fairly steep hill). I go fill myself but when I come out I see this





the douche had the WHOLE street behind him to park, but he chose to park RIGHT behind me

My gf and I were sweating bullets when I started my car and tried not to stall or roll back too far. I made it, but I rolled back what seemed like a few feet but luckily I made it. In my 5speed-infancy I didnt know of the E-Brake trick

I thought it was funny.

 

I hate when people do that and park really close. I always try to give people room in front.

Though, a few times people have been nice and given me plenty of room when we come to a stop light at a hill.

 

In Boston people dont care and back up into you no matter what your driving, lol. how are you are at the hil now??

 

you should have just had your gf stand in front of that car, just in case.

haha, I'm fine now. With trips to both seattle and san fransisco you have to be pretty sufficient on the hills


And it was funny because my girlfriend totally offered to stand there but i'd be more worried about her than the car!

 

i try to do that but not last week when i was on the south sid eof chicago i parked in teh street a block away from McCormick convention center and made sure i took up quite a bit of room, got back and for some reason my car untouched but was the only car ont eh street covered with snow.
